Welcome!
I’m so glad you’re here! Probably just like you, I read, write, and attempt to live “my truth”. The operative word, of course, is “attempt”.
I’m also a fiction writer, and I feel our truth gives good writing a soul.
When I think of “living your truth” I think of living as authentically as possible– to be true to who we are underneath the facade. I know there have always been discussions about “the meaning of life” but I think we truly yearn to find the “meaning of OUR life”. We can only find our meaning if we are true to ourselves.

My first blog post is all about getting more from what we read and write and how it is all part of who we are. If you value the idea of living your truth as well as reading and writing, I hope you find a flash of inspiration from my reflections in these posts. Along with reflections—and muses— I’ll share what I think are some practical and theoretical ideas and everything in between.
I hope you stick around and leave comments and let me know what’s on your mind. I’d love to connect and learn from you.
Please come back often!
Cheers,
E.G. Kardos

About me…
I am a fiction writer and the author of five books. My writing draws inspiration from the beauty surrounding us all—both in nature and in each other. Spirituality, friendship, love, and our connection to the universe inspire me to write.
I grew up loving fantasy and couldn’t get enough of it, whether in books, movies, or at play. Art, too, was so important to me—all kinds of art, from drawing to painting, building something, or making movies. I built some pretty awesome treehouses and forts in the woods and “directed and starred” in some timeless 8mm movies. Cutting of Harp Strings is a literary novel and is all about living your truth. My fantasy series, The Elias Chronicles asks the questions we all think about- who am I? What should I do with my powers?
What’s ahead for me? Whether it is literary fiction or fantasy, my books are about what it is to be human and with all the emotions that make us who we are.
I am an avid “student” of Joseph Campbell and have read and studied the many books Campbell wrote. The Elias Chronicles are true to the form of Campbell’s Hero’s Journey, as I explore what’s most important in our lives today with the mythology and magic that are the fabric of who we are as a people.
The books in the trilogy are: The Amulet: Journey to Sirok (Book I), The Rings: Journey Beneath Sirok (Book II), and The Elixir: Journey On (Book III).
Here’s more about me and my books.
